The claim that agriculture is destroying the planet, whereas relying on a carnivorous diet is ecologically friendly, is ridiculous and has very little scientific support. To eat high on the food chain is by definition both ecologically and economically inefficient. Whole civilizations have been vegetarian, and managed to survive quite well for centuries. Ironically the lower peasant classes were mosty vegetarian for economic reasons, whereas the elite were carnivorous. The least healthy of course were the upper classes. The way the book provides a laundry list of 'facts' makes it a time consuming project of researching the research (or lack of it). It boils down to a disagreement about the findings of biological, nutrional and ecological science. As such its methodology doesn't being to satisfy such criteria. It's primary value being to justify a carnivorous diet equally as thoughtless as she claim the vegan/vegetarian diet to be.

March 13th, while speaking in the auditorium at the 15th Annual Bay Area Anarchist Bookfair, Lierre Kieth was assaulted by pie throwing goons. The 3 pies were laced with hot pepper and therefor had an effect similar to pepper spray, blinding the author for a time. The painful attack was was carried out by three masked, militant vegans unhappy with the substance of the authors new book, The Vegetarian Myth.

If one were to eat a strict low fat diet menus then they could also be increasing their encounters for heart disease due to their diet's lack of required fatty acids. So, it is indeed important that balance is reached when nutrition and your wellness is at stake. If one becomes too lax or too cautionary, then you will be unintentionally sabotaging your heart amongst other things and that could eventually cost you your life sentence.
